Who is Jonathan Benitez?

As the founder and creator of MarketBENITEZ, Jonathan brings 9 years of business relations and event management experience to the brand. Working with several boutiques, styling for Banana Republic among other projects and Visual Merchandising GAP Inc, Jonathan is not new to the Fashion scene. Always being the life of the party, Jonathan embraced his platform in 2012 as he planned Charlotte Fashion Week, being one of the most successful shows to date with 3,000+ attendees. Following this, he went on to attend New York Fashion Week, where he fell in love with fashion all over again. After returning to Charlotte, he started co-producing events with some of Charlotte's influencers gaining respect from the fashion community and the city of Charlotte as a positive force among the community. He continued his efforts working with non-profits such as I AM NOT THE MEDIA, which works with youths to have a better outlook on self image and promote creativity to follow their dreams. After taking 2 years off from the industry to take care of family obligations, Jonathan returns to the Charlotte market still having the same connection he left with and has refined his brand to reflect the person he is today. His goal is simple: to keep the arts alive, in our schools, homes, businesses and to give a platform to those indie/local designers to showcase there works in front of those decision makers to better their career. In this day and age, being raised as a Black and Puerto Rican male in this society has come with many challenges. Jonathan's goal is to help bridge the grab and promote positive individuals of color, so upcoming generations can have role models to aspire to be. Please join him on the journey to keep the Charlotte we love full of Culture, Art, Fashion and Love.
